Digital Citizenship Week
Ms. Emily recommends the resource of Common Sense Media as a helpful way to choose kids apps that are safe. The site does an independent reviews of kids media. Take a look at the Common Sense Media, Family Tech Planners in English and Spanish to learn more.

Try Ultimate Frisbee!
3rd, 4th and 5th graders are welcome to open practices on Tuesday October 17th on the green turf field from 2:30-3:30pm. 22 young players came out to our first session and we had a great time. Coaches will lead a few drills and games just to get a sense for this high-flying sport; absolutely no sports experience is necessary. No need to sign up prior, but please write to Ben Wiggins benlwiggins@gmail.com with any questions
Afterschool Enrichment Cooperative
The week of October 23rd our school’s Afterschool Enrichment Cooperative starts. Please see the flyers sent home in your student’s yellow communication folder.
Move-a-thon
Our staff and students feel the love after our Move-a-thon last Friday. It was a fun, sunny and successful event for our students and a great fundraiser run by the PTA. Thank you so much to our parent volunteers for your time and efforts! Our students ran a cumulative total of 5,970 laps or 746.25 miles!
Families support is closing in on the PTA’s $50,000 goal and we have currently raised just over $37,000 (75% of our goal). WOW! Note that we have extended the fundraising deadline until 10/20, so there is still time to contribute.
