Family Monday Message, January 2, 2024
Happy Tuesday Families,
It was so nice to see our community back together again today, although we are all a bit sleepy!
Progress Reports were sent home on Friday in your child’s yellow folder. If you have questions about areas of growth you can email your child’s teacher to learn more. Our school has created an information sheet for the Progress Report to help families navigate the information they provide. Please see the Progress Report Cover Letter for more information.
Please look below for more information and a chance for inputs on our new Drop off/Pick Up routine.
Nectar News
The Nectar News is shared with students every Monday to educate and celebrate Bagley student news, identity, and expectations.
Appreciations
Each week we share appreciations for our staff and adult community at Bagley in the Nectar News video. We would love it if families wanted to take some time to share a shout out at this link. Bagley Appreciations
Parking Lot Routines Input Requested
Our school is considering two measures to improve safety and efficiency of drop off and pick up.
- The parking lot loop is ONE WAY. Please drive through the loop and avoid turning your car around to skip the loop.
- There is no parking in the loop or the parking lot. All families dropping off students that would like to park can do so in the BCC parking lot or with street parking.
We would like your input BEFORE we make any changes. Please share your thoughts regarding parking lot routines on this one minute survey. Thanks for your time!
School Safety Measures
Prior to winter break, some families shared that some students may have viewed unsafe activity by folks in the alley behind our school. I contacted our Safety Officer and asked them to increase the security watches on that alley from two to three times daily. We are also acquiring black fabric to improved the privacy of our school along the alley fence line.
If you notice other safety concerns in our neighborhood, please consider completing a Find It Fix it notice to engage city resources to increase safety. For example, families have been able to report issues of a cross walk light outage on the link and successfully have the issue addressed.
