Principal’s Note

Happy Monday Families,
Progress Reports will be sent home on Friday in your child’s yellow folder. If you have questions about areas of growth you can email your child’s teacher to learn more. Our school has created an information sheet for the Progress Report to help families navigate the information they provide.

Also on Friday school will end one hour early, at 1:25pm.

At our most recent PTA meeting some families were asking about the uptick in assault events in neighborhood surrounding some SPS high schools. After connecting with our school security office, I learned that there were some arrests near Nathan Hale two weeks ago.  After that happened several of the events around the city schools have slowed down and/or stopped.  While we can’t say that the people engaging in this behavior were all apprehended, the security office has seen a significant decrease. Please let me know if you have any further concerns about school safety.
