Bagley Families

We are always sad to see our fifth graders getting ready to head off to middle school, but we know they are ready! I want to say that it has been such an enriching experience for me to get to learn from your children and spend my days working together with our staff to find the strategies that combine to help all of our students grow.

Looking ahead- during our Welcome Back Event each year, we share our student’s class assignments. We will share those on August 29th, as well as email the class lists for your child.

This coming school year we will have many classrooms that are multi-grade. This configuration was created with input by the school staff and our building leadership team, to keep class sizes as low as possible, while using our allocated staff.

Staff recognize the benefits and challenges of mixed grade classes. Many staff at our school have experienced leading multi-age learning spaces, and as a school we have already been planning the logistics of recesses, math teaching, and much more!

Currently, we have 13 homeroom teachers. At the end of June OR the middle of October, our school will learn if we are given an additional (14th) teacher. Therefore, I want to share both versions, so you and your child know the possible class groupings they may be assigned to this fall. I will keep you updated when I learn of this shift. Note: in both scenarios all of our 4th and 5th graders will be in split classes.

Bagley Family Events Calendar

Some items on this calendar are in draft form, but we wanted to share dates with families that are already planning for fall! Please check out the school calendar for 24-25 events.

Staff updates

Next school year the halls at Bagley will be filled by some different folks. Mr. Perez has resigned from Seattle Schools. Ms. Hill will join us as our new Intermediate Distinct classroom teacher, and Ms. Garcia-Garcia will be our new Intermediate Extended Resource teacher.

We’ve launched our School Supply Fee Link for the 24-25 School Year.

Universal School Supply Payment Fee

At Daniel Bagley we collect a suggested $50 per student. This fee will be used to purchase of the classroom supplies for every student, saving you a trip to the store and creating equity of supplies. If you pay more than $50, it will be used to support our student scholarship program.

Nectar News

The Nectar News is shared with students every Monday to educate and celebrate Bagley student news, identity, and expectations. Check your emailed update for the link.
