    Weekly Update 9/25/20
    Posted on 10/02/2020
    Dear Daniel Bagley Families,

Thanks for your continued patience, flexibility and partnership this week as work to fully implement remote learning which is new learning for all of us. Here are a few updates for this week:

Curriculum Night coming soon (virtually by grade level) – please see dates listed below- you will be receiving a Teams meeting link from your child’s teacher:
    • 10/1 K - (Ledee, Richards, Tamura)

    • 10/6 1st/2nd- (Cole, Steele, Filep)

    • 10/7 1-2-3 3rd- (Poirier, Schultz, Lipsen, Messom, Rasmussen)

    • 10/8 4/5 – (Adriance, Stackhouse, Perez, Vonderlage)

School Community Assemblies- We are excited to resume our tradition of sharing and celebrating our Bagley Bees learning each month. We are getting ready for our monthly assembly, but we need your help! Since we aren’t in the building together, we would like you to send us pictures of our students showing respect, responsibility and safety in their various settings. We would like you to send in pictures of your child in their online learning space, practicing healthy habits, enjoying hobbies or outdoor activities, or school spirit. We are using Dropbox to gather the pictures. This means, you can upload a picture, but you can’t see anyone else’s or download any. If you are not comfortable with this, please reach out and we can find an alternate solution.

Our assembly will be on Monday, October 12th. Please send the pictures by October 7th

    How to reach the office
The main office and the school building are closed to the public. If you need immediate assistance or to speak with a staff member, please call the main office at 206-252-5110. Otherwise, please email Denae Gordon at dcgordon@seattleschools.org or Regina Thornton at rathornton@seattleschools.org

    Attendance
We will use a traditional attendance check at the beginning of class and a more flexible approach that considers student engagement with learning tasks and posted lessons. Excused absences will be extended to families experiencing illness, parent/guardian conflicting work schedules, and online connectivity issues. If you know your student will be absent from school, please email bagley.attendance@seattleschools.org.

Reminder from Ms. Bader about library check out:
Families can come pick up reserved books via Curbside on
    • Tuesdays 1-4
    • Wednesdays 11:30 – 1:30

Families will be divided into 2 groups (A and B) and can come every other week
    Group A – Last name starting A-L
    Group B – Last name starting M-Z
Curbside pickup will start this week- 9/28 for Group A and the following week for Group B.
Students will reserve books online, a notice will be sent to students/families when books are ready for pickup.

Dropoff bins for library books and forms
As we start preparing for library book checkout and returns, and returning student forms or paperwork, we want to make sure families know where dropoff bins are located.
    • All hours: Outside bin by security gate. At any time, you can drop off books or paperwork at the security gate, located between the two buildings just inside the staff parking lot. The parking lot is located off 80th, just east of Aurora/Highway 99.
    • Between 7am and 2pm, Monday through Friday: Inside the front doors. During limited hours, you can access the bin just inside the front doors. Unforeseen circumstances may prevent us from having the doors unlocked. If the doors are locked, please don't leave your materials outside. Take them to the outside bin as described above. (For our safety and yours, please don't enter the school building beyond the entryway.)
For questions about forms and paperwork, email Denae at dcgordon@seattleschools.org. For questions about library books, email Carrie at cmbader@seattleschools.org.

Have a good weekend in our fresh, damp air.
    GO BEES!
