    Dear Families,

    Thanks so much to our families for all the appreciation you shared with our teachers this week! They felt very supported and loved by you all – we are so thankful for our community here at Bagley. This has definitely been a difficult year, and just small notes of encouragement make such a HUGE difference. Again, thanks!!!

    Race and Equity Instructional Design Committee Updates

    Please join us at next week’s Town Hall Wednesday, May 12th at 5:30pm- link here. This will be an opportunity for us to share the work of the committee, logistics for the coming year and as well as a Q&A time.      Staffing Updates

    As a follow up to last week’s grade level teacher assignments for next year we have a few more updates:

    • Ms. Tomsett is returning to Wedgewood, Ms. Park (currently an intermediate interventionist) will be added to our second grade team.
    •  We will have a .2 counselor (one day a week) starting next year, we are pleased to welcome Michael Mihelakakis (he is currently the 6th grade counselor at Eagle Staff) so he will be sharing time at both schools. 

    Not Returning Next Year?

    If your student will no be returning to Bagley in the fall, please use the Not Attending site to unenroll them for the 2021-22 school year.

    PTA Updates

    Thank you to all of the students and families who participated and made Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week so fun and such a success!

    Save the Date for Pizza Night

     We are having a MOD Pizza fundraiser on Sunday, May 16th. Bagley will receive a portion of proceeds when you order with a Bagley code. Look for more details next week.

    Spring Kindness Fundraiser

    We raised a total of $19,735
    A BIG “Thank You” to everyone who contributed to this important fundraiser. Funds raised will be used for expenses during this 2020–21 school year, such as staff subsidies, classroom supplies, and 5th grade graduation. More to come on raffles and prizes!
    Campaign Goal:
    $45,000 direct giving + $2,500 corporate matching.
    Total Raised: $19,735 (44% of our goal)
    At-A-Glance

    •  89 out of 353 students signed up and participated.
    • 73 out of the 89 students raised funds by sending out their customized link via social media, emails, or texts.

    Team Kinders - $1,950 raised (8 students participated)
    Team 1st Grade - $5,583 raised (24 students participated)
    Team 2nd Grade - $2,672 raised (10 students participated)
    Team 3rd Grade - $4,295 raised (18 students participated)
    Team 4th Grade - $1,690 raised (13 students participated)
    Team 5th Grade - $2,295 raised (16 students participated)

    In Person Updates:
    Please remember Wednesday is not an optional day, students are expected to log on to live remote teaching with their teacher in the morning in order to be counted as attending. Thanks!

    Thanks for your continued completion of the daily health attestation, when you have it up on your phone it makes the process go quickly and smoothly at arrival!

    Please make sure your child has a mask that fits snugly to their face. See links here for infographics from the CDC: Improve mask fit and Spanish Improve mask fit.

    Hybrid Learning Appeal Process:

    Beginning April 5, parents or guardians may request an appeal if:

    • The district made an error in assignment, or
    • Can provide evidence of an extreme or unique extenuating circumstance.

    Helping Hive: A Community Pantry

    The Helping Hive, a pantry stocked with basic necessities (toiletries and household supplies) is now accessible to Bagley families Monday-Friday 8am-2pm in the front entryway of the school. Need something? Take something!

    To support the Helping Hive, donated toiletries and household items may be dropped off at the school or ordered through our Amazon wish list. You may also contribute to a parent initiated PayPal pool toward the purchase of $25 Kroger gift cards that will go directly to Bagley families to buy groceries and other needed items.
